Where are you located? We are under the same roof as Sparrow’s Nest on Colorado Ave, same block as Little Flower and Cornerstone Chiropractic. 1492 W Colorado Ave, Ste 120, Pasadena, CA 91105.
Parking? Please utilize street parking. We do not have parking privileges in the parking lot out front. There should be lots of parking all around the area, but if it’s an evening class, it’s likely ok to park in the lot since the other businesses are closed. Park at your own risk.
Are your classes in person? Yep! All in-person unless indicated otherwise.
What is your Covid policy? Masks are optional. If you have had any symptoms, we ask that you zoom in. If an instructor is sick and we cannot find a sub, we may move the class to zoom or reschedule.
What is your cancellation policy? Bookings are non-refundable. If plans change, we are happy to move you to another public class or support group if communicated 7 days prior to class, or schedule a private session for a surcharge.
How does pricing work? Most classes are priced per family and include two spots: Childbirth Class, Hypnobabies, Newborn Care and Breast and Bottle Feeding. CPR and First Aid for Parents is priced per person. The following classes/groups are intended for the birthing parent only: Preparing for the Fourth Trimester, Postpartum Support Group, and Village Prenatal.
How do I sign up? You can browse the classes here and support groups here. You can click through for dates and sign up individually on each page. You can also go here to see the full schedule. If you have any questions, reach out.
What groups and classes are for both partners? Most meetups and classes are for both partners. The only ones that are for the birthing person only is our Village Prenatal (aka pregnancy circle), Preparing for the 4th Trimester, and the Postpartum Support Group. We have intentionally created safe spaces for moms to share the unique experience of carrying, birthing and/or breastfeeding their babies. These opportunities are meant to act as our version of a Red Tent.
When do you recommend taking classes? For childbirth, anywhere between 20 and 32 weeks (at the start of the class) if you are planning to take the 4-week series. If you prefer the weekend intensive format, you could go as late as 35 weeks.
For the newborn care and breastfeeding classes, we recommend scheduling them between 30 and 36 weeks, so the content is fresh in your head.
If you are late to the game, and signing up after 36 weeks, join us! The above recommendations are for those planning ahead. Remember you enter your birth window at 37 weeks, so ideally your classes should be done, nursery sorted, and hospital bag packed.
I can’t make a scheduled class and need help! All good! We offer private sessions for childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care. Please reach out here.
